Millie's Store

Millie’s products can be best described as ‘Pure Indulgence’ – a treat for our growing number of customers. We keep it that way by having a great team who share a passion for the product.

Let’s see how we became the great business we are today.

Millie’s Cookies first ever store opened within Selfridges, Oxford Street, London. “Millie” was the niece of one of the founders. The original idea was to bring the sweet taste of American-style cookies and muffins to the people of Great Britain and beyond. This remains our aim today.

Richard O’Sullivan joined the company in 1987 and he began to expand the company across the UK. Stores opened in major shopping centres and train stations and the business went from strength to strength. In 1997 Millie’s Cookies acquired its major competitor, Cookie Jar, and almost doubled the size of the business overnight.

In 2003, Millie’s Cookies became part of Select Service Partner, the world’s largest travel-concession business. This global business opened up significant growth opportunities for the business and several new stores opened in the next three years. By the end of 2007 there will be just over 100 stores in the Uk and beyond. The first International store opened in Paris in December 2005. In 2006, new stores opened in Hong Kong, Frankfurt and Berlin and there are many more to come with new stores being planned all the time.

In 2007 leadership of Millie’s was handed over to Martin Dougan, the current Managing Director. The mission of all the Millie’s team is to create the ‘World’s Greatest Cookie and Treat Store’.
